Responsibilities that come with recognition
Tax-exempt recognition carries ongoing responsibilities. The determination letter states that Queen Ventures must file the applicable Form 990-series annual return or notice, maintain appropriate records, operate for charitable and educational purposes, and avoid private inurement and prohibited political campaign intervention.
What donors should know
The letter states that contributions are deductible under Section 170, subject to applicable law and each donor's circumstances. Donors should keep receipts and consult a qualified tax adviser when they need advice about deductibility.
